CH 3

Without a second thought, I bolted to my car as if my life depended on it. I quickly got in and drove off without putting on my seat belt, not worrying about it for the time being. After an hour of driving, I finally reached the highway, only to encounter heavy traffic. Frustrated, I vented my anger by hitting my steering wheel repeatedly. I searched through my bag to find my phone, and I decided to call my date because I wasn't sure how long it would take me to return. The phone began ringing, and each beep made me nervous. I wanted her to pick up; no, I desperately needed her to answer. Feeling distressed, I heard a voice on the other end of the call say, "Hello? I searched through my bag to find my phone. CH 2

When I arrived in town, all I could see was buildings and trees, buses and cars, with people moving all over the place, making the streets seem like a constantly shifting maze. I looked around in confusion, trying to pinpoint where the sound was coming from. I didn't see...

CH1

This is something you will naturally learn from being a Caribbean-born person who has lived here for a long time.  I woke up from my bed, which I can't recall going to sleep on last night. "Fuck, did I leave the PC on?" I exclaimed, as a worried thought suddenly hit me. I ran over to my PC, which was on, with a movie tab open widely on the screen, but I couldn't help but start pondering to myself.  (Well, I didn't finish watching The Boys last night. I guess I'll finish it when I get back from my date.) "Yep, your boy got a date, and the best part is she's hella bad," I muttered aloud as if I were talking to someone, but there wasn't a single soul in my room. In fact, there wasn't anybody living in my apartment except me. Yeah, it's kind of lonely living by yourself sometimes, even scary when it...
